Fire Emblem Warriors Guide – Oboro

You wanna know if I’m ready for this? I wanna know if you are!

Overview:

The second of the two Lance units in the Fire Emblem Fates DLC pack, Oboro fights differently from other lance wielders. Oboro opts for more sweeping moves and a more fast and aggressive approach, and has the stats to back up her playstyle. She’s also fairly easy to control, given her unmounted status, and can be a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield.

Fire Emblem Warriors Guide – Azura

You are the ocean’s gray waves. Flowing like time, the path is yours to climb. I won’t hold back. Let us begin.

Overview:

One of two new Lance wielders in the Fates DLC pack, Azura carves a strong niche for herself as being a strong unit and having a creative set of attacks that set her apart from the cast. However, her attacks do have a slight downside to it, as they tend to have long animations, taking a while to complete. That said, she’s a great character and one of the first non-aerial lance wielders, so learning a lance unit that isn’t afraid of arrows should be high on the list of priorities.

Fire Emblem Warriors Guide – Rowan & Lianna

Better give it all you’ve got! I crave a challenge!
Shall we fight? Have at you then!

Overview:

The two main characters of Fire Emblem Warriors, the royal twins Rowan and Lianna have a fairly simple, yet easy to learn playstyle. They do a join a large cast of sword wielders, but have their own distinct niche that allows them to distinct themselves from the pack. They also have the distinction of being able to be used in nearly every History mode scenario, it pays to learn their moveset as you may be forced to use them in some situations.

Fire Emblem Warriors Guide – Lyn

If you think I can’t hold my own…you’re sorely mistaken.

Overview:

Lyn is fast, not just stat-wise, but also in her attacks. While she is another sword unit, she stands out by having strong attacks with short animations, and the ability to easily tear up a battlefield given the opportunity. Certain skills make her even scarier for enemies fighting her, but for the most you’ll probably be laughing at how much damage Lyn can do when given the opportunity. Frankly, Lyn feels overpowered, though given the effort required to obtain her, it seems rightfully so.

Fire Emblem Warriors Guide – Tiki

Goodness! That was a close one!

Overview:

The only Manakete unit, Tiki at base isn’t extremely impressive. Her attacks, while strong, lack that extra ‘oomph’ to make her stand out against the crowd. However, during an Awakening, her true power comes through when she becomes a dragon. Even though she has a little bit of time as a full dragon, she has the ability to extend that time, and do a LOT of damage during it with a modified movest. As such, Tiki wants to have her Awakening go on as long as possible. Falchions are still really pesky though.

Fire Emblem Warriors Guide – Marth & Celica

I am Prince Marth of Altea. For my brethren…I cannot afford to fail now!
If it is our fate to cross swords on this day…know that I will give it my all!

Overview:

Both Marth and Celica have a very rapid playstyle, as they both incorporate fencing-like moves in their attacks. The biggest distinction they have from other units though is that they utilize a charge system which allows them to tack on additional attacks after a combo ender. While it can be a surprise if unaware, it’s extremely easy to use this system to your advantage in order to maximize damage output. With lightning-fast attacks and long strings, both units are strong units to learn and get used to.

Fire Emblem Warriors Guide – Corrin

Are you prepared for this?!
You ready for this?!

Overview:

If there’s one way to describe Corrin’s playstyle, it would be improvised. His/her attacks are extremely wild, with his/her vectors of movement being all over the place. This can be attributed to his/her ability to turn into a dragon, as it is the sole reason he/she has such a unique moveset, visually and mechanically. The downside to this is that Corrin takes a while to get a solid control overdue to long animations, and in combat he/she falls short compared to some other units, especially compared to the multitude of other sword units available. Overall, Corrin faces steep competition from his/her other Sword-toting compatriots, but has a distinct enough moveset to make him/her stand out from the pack. The Dragon weakness can be a bit of a hassle to work around though.

Fire Emblem Warriors Guide – Xander

I am the Crown Prince of Nohr…Xander. You are no one.

Overview:

Xander is the only mounted Sword unit currently in the game, and may be that way for the foreseeable future. His moveset is fairly dynamic, as his mount is surprisingly very aerodynamic, and most of his attacks allow him to rush down an opponent. At the same time, it does make Xander a bit harder to control since his movement while attacking is locked to a single direction, and as such he has higher learning curve compared to other units. He also comes at a later point than other units, joining an already large Sword roster. Overall, Xander is a solid unit but takes time to get good at.

Fire Emblem Warriors Guide – Camilla

How very naughty… Someone needs to be punished.

Overview:

The last of the three axe wielders, Camilla plays much differently compared to her weapon-toting counterparts. For one, she’s currently the only Wyvern rider available, meaning she has a lot of mobility, which may or may not be a detriment, depending on playstyle. Her attacks also have a wide area of effect, making her great at clearing groups, though she has a tendency to have long combo enders making her slow in a sense, but ends up playing much faster and smoother with a few essential upgrades. Overall, Camilla can be quite the powerhouse once given the right tools, just keep her away from certain swords and Bows

Fire Emblem Warriors Guide – Elise & Leo

Overview:

The two other magic units currently in the game, Leo and Elise combat-wise fill very similar roles, though their overall abilities do slightly differ. As the two mounted mages, they have a very different playstyle compared to the sole infantry mage, as they are more mobile and can use their horse’s momentum to deal a lot of damage. Overall, they’re solid units that can deliver a very solid beatdown, even though they are a bit frail.
